Melanie Norman is an abstract artist whose work is deeply personal, drawn from memories, emotions, and the quiet transformations that shape us. Warm childhood moments, the wonder of imagination, and life’s evolving journey all weave into her work, creating pieces that feel both nostalgic and dreamlike.
Painting is an intuitive process for Melanie—a way of uncovering unseen connections and emotions that words often fail to capture. She embraces soft textures, delicate hues, and thoughtful contrasts, allowing each piece to unfold organically. Enchantment plays a key role in her work, not as fantasy, but as a reflection of the magic found in everyday moments—the fleeting, the forgotten, the deeply felt.
Through her art, Melanie invites viewers to step into spaces that blur the line between memory and possibility, reality and reverie. Each painting is a quiet invitation to pause, feel, and find meaning in the in-between.
Materials & Process
Melanie works predominantly with acrylic on paper and canvas, allowing for fluid experimentation and layered depth in her compositions.
Thank you so much Melanie, I could not be happier with the pieces you have created for my home.
